Buffalo Onion Rings

When we go out to a pub, we often find ourselves substituting fries for either Sweet Potato Fries or Onion Rings. When we’re home, we’re much more likely to make sweet potato fries with our burgers, but every now and then, we just have a hankering for Onion Rings (although they’re a bit more of a chore to make). Such was the case the other day, so we decided to try a different method than our prior recipe. The first one involved a batter, and for this particular iteration, we went with a three step dry coating process. While these ones were a little more cumbersome to make, they got very crispy and were rather enjoyable! They also lended themselves to holding a sauce better…and since we ate these during a football game, we opted to toss them in Buffalo Sauce!

We served our onion rings with a Burger (if you really want to double down on the Buffalo Sauce, try our Buffalo Chicken Burger) and Homemade Coleslaw with paprika mixed in.
