My wife and I love Margherita Pizza. There’s just something about the simple combination of tomato, basil, and fresh mozzarella that is divine. I also love word play…hence our Margarita Pizza and now this one. Our Mar-Goat-Rita pizza is much closer to a traditional Margherita Pizza though…as it relies on mostly the same ingredients. The only major change is that we swapped out the mozzarella for crumbled goat cheese.
The earthy sweetness of the basil wound up pairing extremely well with the slight tang and creaminess of the goat cheese…so the end result was a really fun dinner that we will be making again in the future!
