Spicy Honey Garlic Ribs

On Mondays, we head a handful of miles north to have dinner with my wife’s grandparents…and while typically, Gramma works her kitchen magic, every now and then, we bring dinner up. One of their favourite meals is Ribs that fall right off the bone, and so that’s exactly what we decided to bring!

Ribs can be quite the blank canvas upon which to build flavour, which is part of why we like them so much. For this rib iteration, we decided to build around garlic and honey as our primary flavours. We then added a little salt sprinkle, some mustard powder, and some hot paprika to the party to slow cook…and when they were super tender and ready, we slathered a bit of bbq sauce atop and finished them in the oven.

We served our ribs with my wife’s great aunt’s amazing coleslaw (with green peppers included) and some sauteed carrots and beets!
