Beet and Honey Dog Biscuits

July 23 was Samuel’s (our English Pointer) 11th “Gotcha Day” Anniversary, so we decided to make a special Dog Treat for the pups. Every time we have beets, Sam sits at the table with his ears perked up so inquisitively (demandingly?) that we usually give him a few pieces. So, we decided to make him a whole batch of his own beet cookies!

Just like the Pumpkin Flax Cookies we made earlier this year for Sadie’s Birthday, these treats were a huge hit with our four legged family members. And if I’m being honest, we all tried one too, and they weren’t too bad to our human palates either (although if we were making beet cookies for ourselves, we’d add a little baking powder, a pinch of salt, and more honey).

Inquisitive? Or Demanding? You be the judge.
