Peanut Butter Banana Dog Cookies

Samuel and Sadie went through their batch of Roasted Carrot Dog Treats pretty quickly, and they began to look at me with an increasing implication of expectancy shortly thereafter. Unbeknownst to them, I had already been contemplating their next treats a few days before, and I purchased some bananas to allow them to ripen and soften.

When it came time to make the treats, we peeled and smashed the bananas, which became the primary flavour/sweetener for the treats. We then added a little peanut butter and honey to the bowl before adding oat flour. The original plan was to use rolled oats, but when it came time to make them, I realized I’d completely overlooked them and didn’t have any in the pantry. But the oat flour worked well…and the dogs didn’t complain too much. In fact, when the treats were done, they ran into the kitchen and gave me the classic perked ear head tilt of “GIMME!”

**Side note…They didn’t taste too bad as human cookies either (when baked a little less).
